Volunteer

Could you spare some time to help your local community?

We Need You

Volunteering with North Glasgow HLC can be a great way to meet new people, gain new experiences, improve your C.V or give something back to your local community.

We welcome people with a whole range of backgrounds. No experience is necessary and training and support is offered. Volunteers need to be aged 18+.

    Volunteering Opportunties

We have lots of opportunities for you to get involved with. If you can spare an hour or two each week, fortnight or a few times a year, we want to hear from you! We have a requirement for volunteers in several areas, to help organise and run community events, project admin, project support and fundraising. We would love to speak with you to find out where your skills would fit best.

    Join our Board

Would you be interested in using your skills and experience to help make a positive difference to our organisation and the communities
we serve? Each year we seek new members to join our experienced Board team, bringing with them the skills and dedication needed to help strengthen and develop our charity.

As well as an enthusiasm and passion for supporting communities to develop and grow and an interest in community development and local health improvement, we need people with the right skills to help govern our organisation and, in particular, with professional expertise in areas such as human resources, funding, and employment law.

    Community Involvement

It is important to us that local residents, and those working to support communities, are invited to join our Board. This allows the community to beĀ  involved in the shaping of our organisation.

You would attend board meetings (8 per annum) to contribute your skills, knowledge and understanding. In addition you would have the opportunity to join a sub-working group and to attend a small number of company development sessions.

To register your interest in joining our Board or for an informal chat about the role please contact Project Manager Arlene Cooke.

    Our Supporters

North Glasgow Healthy Living Community relies on support from the local community as well as from our dedicated and hard-working partners, who allow us to continually develop in our mission.
