Saturday Night Fakeaway

A weekly food journey during lockdown.

The Journey

Throughout the Spring and Summer 2020, North Glasgow HLC created ‘Saturday Night Fakeaway’. Each weekend individuals and families would come together to participate in a weekly food journey celebrating flavours and foods from around the world.

The staff and volunteers created packs which included a recipe and the ingredients to create a dish from around the world.

The packs were collected or delivered to 153 households in Royston and Wyndford to participate in some fun at home during the covid19 lockdown.

The families and households would then send in their pictures to staff to share their results.
