Get Involved

Are you interested in volunteering?

Volunteering with North Glasgow HLC can be a great way to make new friends, gain new experiences, improve your C.V or give something back to your local community.

We have lots of opportunities for you to get involved with: from assisting participants in our cookery classes; helping organise community events; or serving up refreshments at our monthly Tea Dance.

If you can spare an hour or two each week, fortnight or a few times a year, we want to hear from you! We welcome people with a whole range of skills and abilities. No experience is necessary and training and support is offered. Volunteers need to be aged 18+.

Would you be interested in using your skills and experience to help make a positive difference to our organisation and the communities we serve?

Each year we seek new members to join our experienced Board team, bringing with them the skills and dedication needed to help strengthen and develop our charity.

As well as an enthusiasm and passion for supporting communities to develop and grow and an interest in community development and local health improvement, we need people with the right skills to help govern our organisation and, in particular, with professional expertise in areas such as human resources, funding, and employment law.

However, it is just as important to us is to invite local residents, and those working to support communities, to also join us.

You would be required to attend board meetings (8 per annum) and to contribute your skills, knowledge and understanding. In addition you would have the opportunity to join a sub-working group and be expected to attend a small number of company development sessions.

To register your interest in joining our Board or for an informal chat about the role please contact Project Manager Arlene Cooke on 0141 336 7000 or email
